PYV wins Insurance Institute General Knowledge Quiz

The staff of Lloyds Broker PYV Limited were delighted with their recent success at The Insurance Institute of London’s West End General Knowledge Quiz. This prestigious annual event was held at The Institute of Directors, Pall Mall on December 4th 2006 and the intellectual crème de la crème of the London insurance market took part. PYV had to beat off 21 other teams, including the past winners that had so generously donated the magnificent trophy, to secure a hard fought victory, eventually winning by just one point from their nearest rivals.

Neil Pointon, PYV's Chief Executive, said, "I am truly proud of our team's achievement which reflects a fantastic all round effort by all those involved. We have come close before, but I think it has taken 10 years or more for us to finally finish top. I would also like to thank the IIL for their usual excellent organisation."

The focus of the questions was of a varied and general nature, ranging from 'What was the first product advertised on TV?' to 'What was the most dialled telephone number last year?'
